The title of this blog is a statement I say to myself often.
When I miss the buss, when I stub my toe, when I’m anxious, impatient, angry, or in a bad spot. I say to myself, “I have nothing to complain about and everything to be grateful for.”
Gratitude is a choice. It’s a choice that is available at all times to all people in all situations.
The Apostle Paul says, “in everything give thanks.” There’s a divine connection that one has with their Creator when expressing gratitude. It’s an anchor to the soul, knowing that no matter what is going on, the breath in my lungs, the existence I have, is sufficient to be grateful.
And the beautiful part is that when one is grateful, hate begins to leave the room. The atmosphere changes and you are recentered with the presence of God in your life.
Make the decision today to be grateful. Say it with me, “I have nothing to complain about and everything to be grateful for…”
